Carnarvon

Carnarvon is a friendly community known as the largest town in the Gascoyne region. It lies on the mouth of the mighty Gascoyne River and is located between Exmouth and Monkey Mia. Carnarvon is 904km North of Perth and is a 1 hour and 50 minute flight with Skippers Aviation from Perth.

The streets of Carnarvon still remain with beautiful hibiscus and tall palm trees. With the warm climate it allows Carnarvon to produce superb fruit and vegetables. Food doesn't get any fresher with many local growers selling seasonal fruits and vegetables direct from farms, primarily Bananas and Mangoes.

The coast is serene and yet rugged and boasts a number of natural phenomena including the blowholes which make for an awesome display when water is pushed as high as 20m into the air.

Carnarvon Fishing

Carnarvon provides a base for some amazing fishing. Sail fish, Marlin and other game fish can be wrestled into submission out on the impossibly blue ocean. Mulloway, Shark, Tailor and Mackerel can be hooked right from the rivers and beaches. Luscious seafood delicacies such as juicy prawn and crabs, tender scallops and melt in your mouth crayfish are in abundance.

Visit one of the many plantations or look out over the Gascoyne River, one of the only areas in Western Australia where the desert meets the sea.

Carnarvon makes an ideal stop over between Monkey Mia and Shark Bay, Kalbarri, Coral Bay and Exmouth towns all being close to the Ningaloo Reef.
